BIOGRAPHY
“When I was about 14 I got into happy hardcore which progressed to garage where I got into MC’ing and this led to jungle/drum & bass”.
He started MC’ing on a regular basis in 1997, listening to ‘old school’ garage music and radio MC’s. A steady succession of low key raves , house parties, internet radio and pirate radio quickly followed. His attention moved to drum and bass with his favourites being a duo called Skibadee and Shabba.
“Drum and bass has been the biggest influence especially the MC’s and the whole vibe of the scene in South East London.”
At the end of 1999 whilst still at school Pyro started writing lyrics to drum and bass and regularly MC’s on Internet Radio Worldwide FM and performing at live jams with a drummer and bass player.
As well as writing his lyrics and being an adept guitarist Pyro plays, programmes and produces all his songs at home. Still only 21 there’s a witty gritty reality in his lyrics that’s sure to generate a lot of interest over the coming months. |
